The spirit of giving's the thing for Vistek and especially for Vistek Edmonton - who put their money where their mouths were during the 2010 Christmas Season.
As part of Vistek’s Annual Food Drive Event, staffers from across the country were encouraged to give during the 2010 Holiday Season to their local food bank. Donations were collected at each retail donation and then dropped off to the food bank of their choosing.
In addition to garnering a general sense of altruism, the Vistek Store with the largest donation per capita was awarded the Vistek Annual Food Drive Trophy along with a $500 donation to a charity of their choosing.
Coming out ahead of the pack in this, the event’s inaugural year, was Vistek Edmonton – who donated a whopping 14.42 food items per person! In addition to having the Annual Food Drive Trophy to proudly display for this year, Vistek Edmonton selected Santas Anonymous as their charity of choice. Santas Anonymous – who provide gifts to Edmonton’s needy children during the holiday season – received a donation of $500 toward their cause.
Second & Third positions were claimed by Vistek Calgary/Willow Park and Vistek Ottawa, respectively, with Toronto, Mississauga & Head Office locations also making generous donations.
