Our friendly Service team will assist you with all your equipment repairs.

 

Excellent service is what you can expect when you require repair assistance for your imaging gear.

Drop into our service center, give us a call or contact the store location nearest you to discuss your needs and how we can help you. We have technicians in-house in our Toronto Service Centre who service most lighting and video products.  If we do not service your product or brand, we outsource repairs to local authorized service centers or we work directly with the manufacturer. . In some cases, you may need to contact the brand support team first for troubleshooting and then we will assist. Details below.

Hassle-Free Warranty Claims

Feel free to deal directly with the manufacturer yourself or allow us to handle it all for you.  For a small handling fee, we will send your product out for service, handle all the paperwork and communicate with you until your repair is done. For DJI, Blackmagic Design, Wacom and Atomos product, you must contact their support team first to obtain a ticket number before you reach out to us for service.

25% Rental Discount

If you can't be without your camera equipment while it's being serviced we've got you covered. You qualify for a 25% discount on a rental of your product while it is being repaired. If your product is not available, we will work with you to find an alternate solution.    

Sensor Cleaning

To book an appointment contact us or visit one of our store locations. Ensure your batteries are fully charged when dropping off your camera. We will complete the service within 1- 2 hours (Toronto Only). Please allow 2 days for our other stores.
Sony sensor cleaning:  We do not provide this service in-house however we can assist and have it sent to Sony’s authorized technician. Sorry for the inconvenience. 
Please be reminded that settings might be adjusted during this process. This is to ensure we test and clean the products to a high standard.

Are you a Camera Club Member or Student? 

Receive a discount for all repairs. Just show a membership card. Save $10 on sensor cleanings as well.

Camera & Lens Repairs 

Out of Warranty:  We will coordinate the repair of your equipment by outsourcing it to an authorized service center that specializes in your product brand. Our network of authorized service centres is well-equipped to handle repairs for a wide range of brands, such as Nikon, Canon, Sony, Fujifilm, Panasonic, Pentax, Ricoh, Olympus, Sigma and Tamron just to name a few. Rest assured, we will take care of all the necessary arrangements and promptly contact you with a detailed estimate.  

A non-refundable estimate evaluation fee (ranging from $25 to $75) is applicable but will be waived off from the total repair cost if the repair is eventually approved and carried out.   
Additional shipping and handling charges may apply based on your service coverage area.  

In Warranty: During the warranty period, you have the option to either work directly with the manufacturer or reach out to us for assistance. If your camera equipment experiences any manufacturer defect, the factory service centre will repair it at no cost to you under their terms and conditions. Please note that warranties have limitations and do not cover damages caused by impacts, water, moisture, sand exposure or misuse.  
There is a handling fee of $25.00 for this service. Additional shipping charges may apply based on your service coverage area. 

Mack Warranty: If you have already purchased a Mack warranty we can provide you with any information you need. If you wish for us to manage the claim on your behalf, we are more than willing to help.

Video Repairs

Out of Warranty: We will coordinate the repair of your video equipment by outsourcing it to an authorized service centre that specializes in your product brand. We handle everything and will contact you with the estimate.

Studio Equipment Repairs

Our Toronto Service Centre offers service on most brands of studio flash/lighting equipment that we have sold over the last 20 years, including Elinchrom, Speedotron, Kino Flo, and newer brands such as, LedGo, Rotolight, and Arri. 
Our Toronto based certified technician will analyze and evaluate your equipment and provide a report and estimate for your approval. 

Our service team will do everything they can to get your gear back to you as quickly as possible. If parts need to be ordered there may be a substantial delay. Our certified pro lighting technician is qualified to answer your technical questions about studio flash, email us at repairs@vistek.ca .

We will service in-warranty and out-of-warranty products including Mack extended warranty products. Evaluations and estimates may take 2-5 days. Chris Lewis has over 30 years of experience as a Professional Lighting Technician.

Chris’s technical knowledge exceeds any other technician in North America for most popular lighting brands. Chris can perform level 1 on a wide range of lighting equipment. That includes basic operations, diagnostics, determine if there is a major fault, clean, check over and firmware updates. Ask us about your Flash or Soft box, we may be able to assist.

Michael Wiensczyk has over 30 years of Professional and Broadcast Video Service experience.

Mike has Level 1 training on a wide range of broadcast and professional brands including Canon, Nikon, Blackmagic and Cinema Prime lenses. Level 1 - Basic operations includes calibrations, alignments, clean, check over, firmware updates and diagnostics to determine if there is a major fault.
