Section One: Introduction & Foundation

An overview of the elements in Photoshop that are necessary for working with Graphics and Textures.

Section Two: Design Elements

An overview of the tools being used for this program.

Layered Backgrounds
Graphics that have been designed with different images or graphics on each layer allowing the user to remove them as they choose. Each layer has a different image or graphic.

Section Three: Creativity

In this section all students will follow along with Judy using files distributed on USB drives.

PROJECT ONE: Using textures & clipping masks

PROJECT TWO: Using blending modes, layer masks and graphic borders

PROJECT THREE: Using pre-designed templates (drag & drop.)

PROJECT FOUR:Blending layered backgrounds, textures, vector art and clipping masks to create a customized look.

PROJECT FIVE: Blending three different layered backgrounds together and adding vector art.

PROJECT SIX:Using your own photograph to make your own creative design!

Please bring a selection of your favourite portraits with you so that you can use them to practice with. This in-class exercise will blend graphics (included on the provided USB drive) with your own photographs and give you a chance to practice what you're learning with Judy's guidance.
