High Quality compact

Great camera for it's size and focal length. The high ISO matches my 7D, the lens sharpness matches my 7D with a 17-55mm lens on. If you're a strobist, the flash sync speed is 1/2000th so you have alot of control over ambient light.
OVF isn't all that bad but it is a compromise. I noticed I got much more battery life with the back screen off and just used the OVF to compose. I shot mostly with TV or AV mode this way since you have no metering info with backscreen off.
Video recording has exp comp lock that allows semi manual control even while recording. Too bad there's no mic input but there is a built in wind filter.
I recommend this for anyone who wants to travel light and have the ability to get SLR quality images with a compromise in AF speed / accuracy.
