Internal Focusing System
Keeping the lens length from changing as you zoom in or out, the internal lens elements move when focusing--creating a better balanced and faster focusing lens overall.
Circular Aperture
To get a nearly circular out of focus bokeh effect on spot-light sources, the aperture blades of the 18-200mm form a near circle at the wide openings used for low-light shots.
Aspherical Lens Elements

ED (Extra-low Dispersion) Glass
