About:
We believe everybody can take fantastic photos and learn to capture those special moments. Learn Photography Canada is dedicated to helping you take better pictures. We offer convenient one-day photography courses in Edmonton and Calgary that teach you everything you need to know about using your SLR camera. We specialize in photographic classes that are fun and interactive. Our courses are different and participants learn to use their cameras by taking photographs of iconic sites and cityscapes during an interactive and experiential walking tour of Calgary and Edmonton. We promise that you will learn everything you need to in this fun, hands-on and convenient course. We are dedicated to helping you achieve outstanding results and cater to new and beginner to advanced amateur photographers. We guarantee that after completing our course, you will better understand your camera and be able to take amazing photos. We understand that there are those of you who learn best through a hands-on and interactive environment. We also appreciate that many of you don’t have the time available to attend weekly courses that last for several weeks. That’s exactly why we’ve created our photography courses for busy individuals. We guarantee that you’ll have all the skills to take great pictures immediately after the class. Learn Photography Alberta also offers ongoing support and access to network with other aspiring photographers. Trust us, our courses are every bit as effective, and are much more fun. Our Instructor - James Lam James Lam is a fully licensed photographer based in Alberta. He fell into photography career completely by accident. He originally began his career as a mechanical engineer, and continued to climb the corporate ladder eventually completing his MBA and Masters of Engineering before becoming the director of marketing at a national charity in Australia. One day on holiday when James was particularly perturbed about work, his best friend was kind enough to start teaching James about SLR photography. From these humble beginnings, James continued to develop his photography skills till a point where he was passionate and knowledgeable enough to teach others the skills of the trade. James continues to develop his own techniques and experiments with different facets of photography. His personal Flickr blog is a work in progress and some of his best work can be found at www.flickr.com/banalama.
