The Main Photo Studio is located just off of Main Street on East 10th Ave. directly behind Kingsgate Mall and East Broadway. It is a ground level store front space. The studio itself is about 800 square feet with 13 foot high ceilings. There is a large shooting room that is 25 feet in length and 16 feet wide, including a washroom, shower and fully furnished back office at 15’ x 20’. The office area comes equipped with lockers, large shelving units for storage, a nice makeup bar/counter with full length overhead mirror, a mini fridge, microwave, and an office desk. There is also a small storage loft above the office which is great for equipment that isn’t regularly used. The studio is fully insured with liability insurance and is alarmed as well! The studio is newly renovated, and has been designed for use as an open studio space. The studio is very professional and comfortable for photographers and their clients. This studio has been used by many photographers on a regular basis for all types of shoots such as headshots, fashion, glamour, portraiture, commercial, editorial etc. There is convenient parking on the street front and also at Kingsgate Mall across the street. The designated shooting space is the first room you enter into from the store front. It has 13 foot high ceilings, is 25 feet in length and 16 feet wide. The wall facing the street is one full length window expanding the entire wall to the front door, so you get a ton of North facing natural light! The windows also have a black out curtain if you need to control the lighting conditions and is very private. The floors are concrete that have been painted with a soft grey finish. The walls are all white. The Main Photo Studio has everything you need for your photography sessions. Below is a list of equipment provided during your rental of the studio. We also highly recommend Beau Photo for camera and equipment rentals. 4 Alien Bee Strobes 500 Watts that includes 2 Large Soft Boxes and 2 Umbrellas 4 Opus K 500 Pro Strobes 500 Watts that include I Medium Soft Box and 2 Umbrellas 2 Backdrop Stands with Crossbar 6 Light Stands 1 Alien Bee Beauty Dish Various Backdrops (White, Black, Grey, Blue, Green) Wireless Transmitter/Receiver and sync cords Silver/White Reflector Various Snoots and Grids 3 Ladders of different sizes 4 Hours $150.00 8 Hours $225.00 We require 48 Hour Cancellation Notice Payment is required up front, and a rental agreement for your booking needs to be signed in advance * We require a non-refundable cash deposit Month to Month Rental: The studio is also available on a monthly rental basis as, we have usually 6 photographers that are regular monthly renters. The advantage to this is that you have access to a shared online booking system and you can book the studio whenever you like for 4 hours per day either from 9am-1pm, 1pm-5pm or 5pm-9pm. The monthly rental price is $325.00 plus a $175.00 damage deposit. You can then also store your equipment there as well, and you will be given a studio key to come and go to your appointments as needed.
