I approach my work from an emotional level, I want to stay in love with what I do so that it never becomes work. To my credit I have nearly 20 years of professional photography experience. My earliest memory of shooting was somewhere around age 11 at summer camp. I borrowed my dad's Brownie camera and I ran around snapping pictures of my friends doing goofy things. I am a film trained photographer. I slugged it out in dark rooms and shot in medium format for years and years before I transitioned into digital. I understand the rules of natural light and manual mode. I also understand how to break the rules. I build my business on referrals and repeat clients. Glowing referrals propelled my shooting career into commissioned weddings, private events, real life portraits, and exciting commercial and editorial work. I make it my purpose to capture an honest collection of images. I work organically with the given environment using natural light whenever possible. I direct in a way that allows the session to take on a natural flow. I shoot with all heart. I feel this approach will capture the truest images.
