Ryan Courson is an award winning Equine and wildlife photographer based in, and serving Southern Ontario. As a photographer, I endeavour to capture the very essence of the horse; to put on display the unique characteristics and personalities every horse possesses. I am fortunate to be witness to the interaction, the play, and the affection between horses, and want the viewer to feel they too, can be a part of those moments. It is no secret that the horse is one of the worlds most awe inspiring creatures. They demonstrate the most amazing strength and power, and yet are able to display such tenderness and vulnerability. My photography strives to capture the range of these emotions, to intrigue the viewer, so they see beyond the frame and into the horse itself. Wildlife also offers me the same opportunities. I strive to capture images that capture the viewers attention and draws them in. i want them to feel as if they were right along side me, seeing what I was seeing and sharing in the excitement of bearing witness to a spectacular event.
