I have been taking photographs for as long as I can recall. I remember taking a photo of the front of mother's video store, Movie Madness, and developing in my Grade 7 photography club. I later honed my skills shooting news and lifestyle images at Brock University and working as a photo editor at a daily newspaper. On set, I know when to let loose and when to buckle down. My many, MANY years of experience as an improv performer and teacher help me communicate effectively with everyone on set, how to get the most out of a model, and how to rise to the top of my game under pressure. I love it. It's as exciting as being on stage, and I love creating and building on the ideas of everyone around me. In my photography, I strive to capture personality, an instance of clarity, a glimmer of truth; what guides my eye is the authenticity of the moment. Having been a professional comedian for more than 14 years, I look for moments to inject a sense of humour into my work. I live in Hamilton, Ontario with a three-year-old Corgi/Jack Russell named Winston who really is my best friend. Most folks call me KPR. You can call me Kevin.
