Established in 1961 the Scarborough Camera Club embraces many forms of photography, including color and monochrome slides and prints, and keeping up with advances in photographic technology we actively incorporate digital imaging, as well as audio visual presentations in our competitions and invited presentations. You don’t need to have “state of the art” equipment to be an active member. While every encouragement is extended for you to show your work at both informal evenings and in competitions, you’re more than welcome to come along and enjoy the best images from Club members and invited speakers. In addition to internal workshops organized and presented by club members to help others improve their knowledge and skills, we also invite a diverse and varied range of speakers every year. These talks and presentations embrace everything from Landscapes through Natural History, Portraiture etcetera, and are balanced with the exhibition of members images entered in the clubs monthly category, and outings based competitions. In all cases, the evenings are full of informed and helpful comments to help improve and stimulate your photographic skills, regardless of current ability.
