One of the most popular tools for light shaping, the softbox is essential for softening harsh light from flashes and strobes, especially helpful when shooting portraits. Illumi softboxes incorporate unique features in order to ensure the photographer has full control of lighting. These features include a deeper shape, a recessed front, double-layered diffusers which fasten with velcro tabs, a highly reflective silver interior, plus unique side air-vents that allow for more efficient cooling.

The diffuser is used for maximum softening of the light output. By removing the diffuser(s), the photographer can turn the softbox into a large reflector, generating maximum brightness and contrast.
