Rycote Modular Suspension Medium (XLR-3F) 68 Duo for Shotgun Microphones

Rycote suspensions provide complete isolation against handling and cable-borne noises, by supporting the microphone in a cradle arrangement using Lyre suspension webs.

The patented Lyre are extremely robust, and virtually unbreakable, as they do not use elastic or rubber components which are prone to wear and tear. These completely backward compatible Lyre have replaced the original silicone O-rings suspension, and can be bought separately to upgrade older suspensions.

Connbox CB1 (XLR-3F)

An effective and ready-to-use solution to connection problems, the Connbox will enable professional sound recorders to achieve clean, high quality audio recordings.

Acting as a transition connector and anchor point for the microphone tail, the lengths of cable are set to work perfectly with the microphone fitted in the windshield, without touching the internal surface of the basket. The soft cable then greatly reduces the transmission path of cable-borne noise, thus further reducing cable rumble.

The Connbox is made of the highest quality components, using Gold 3-pin Neutrik X-series XLR connectors, and an ultra soft Mogami star-quad cable.

XLR Holder MK II

The XLR Holder Mk II fits between any 3/8" male threaded boom pole or mic stand and any 3/8" female microphone shock-mount or windshield system. The holder securely grips all XLR connectors, at a set distance from the side of the pole to prevent the XLR becoming unclipped or making noise.

The XLR Holder Mk II is also strong enough to support the fitting of most standard plugon transmitters. The XLR Holder Mk II is made from a metal replacement polymer, developed in the automotive industry for SUV door handles. The material has metal properties in terms of stiffness, but with a rubber additive to reduce the brittleness and a UV stabiliser to prevent breakdown in UV light.

The XLR Holder Mk II will be supplied as standard at no extra charge in Modular Suspensions and all Mono & Stereo Windshield Kits. Or it is available to be purchased separately.
