Excellent Printer after 1 1/2 years
I bought this printer over 1 1/2 years ago. So far it has done a superb job. I only use it to print photos, usually on glossy or matte paper. To my eyes the finish is as good as or better than a professional lab.
So now for a few comments. The rear feed sometimes fails to feed. I have to push the paper down but that is mostly with
thick glossy paper. The standard feed works OK. Cost of ink is a concern. I sometimes think I will have to sell my first born to pay for ink. I looked into why ink is so expensive and while I understand the process to make the ink, it still hurts my wallet. I don't think I would do any better with another manufacturer.

poor design for photos
this printer may print nice colour but the ink tank size does not match its paper capabilities . it eats ink becausee of constant need to change cartridges. do not attempt anything over an 8x10 without a full set of replacement cartridges on hand. Good for some one who only occassionally wants to print. I used 16 (!) cartridges ( some xl) to print 7 calendars on 8.5x11. note buy XL cartrides only and skip the standard size

I can't comment, just got the (new) printer and have not even unpacked
it so will let you know in a week or 2 what I think about it..
The printer I had just purchased about 4-6 weeks go is garbage,
I gave up on it. Worked great for about 2 weeks and then just quite working. What a total waste of my money and time. The printer was nota cheap one but should be put in the 1/4 price range, a garbage machine

2nd time Lucky
I picked up my new printer at the store and went through the set-up process that I thought was more complicated that I thought it should be. Once that was done the printer turned out to be defective. So after conversations with Epson, they decided to send me another printer which I received about a week later. After the complicated setup again, it did print. I have done about a dozen prints on it now and they are very nice quality.

Still waiting for delivery
It looks like it will be a wonderful printer, but it has been two months since placing the order and it still has not shown up. There is no indication of how much longer I will have to wait.

XL 15000 Review
It is a replacement for a 1400 which gave excellent service for many years. The 15000 has worked flawlessly and produces excellent prints. Its not bad for ink usage.

Prints beautifully
It takes a bit to set up, but it is totally worth it! I’ve only printed black & white photos so far, but the quality is amazing. Epson printers have always been my favourite and I’m glad I have one again.

After a long seach overall reviews for this specific model are excellent for photo printing… equivalent of a professional print, great variety of sizes at an affordable retail price.

BEST ANSWER: Yes, the printer comes with a starter set of ink.

If I only use my printer occasionally, how long will the cartridges last before drying up? That is, if I do not use up the ink, will the cartridges last 2 years or more?
BEST ANSWER: Once you insert the ink the seal is broken and they will start to age. Best practices is to print a small image every week and run cleaning protocols regularly. This is one of the downsides of ink jet printers. A small cost overall - this is an awesome printer before you start having to look at professional models which will cost you triple and the ink is very dear.... Hope this helps.

BEST ANSWER: Yes, it can connect with a wired connection or wireless to your network. It will also connect with USB.
