Datavideo’s ASK-1200 (Auto Switcher Kit) is a kit designed to automate video switching for any live event or meeting. No operator needed. This is an ideal kit for any City Council meeting, radio talkshow/podcast or press conference setting.  The kit includes the SE-1200MU 6-input rackmountable switcher and  the NBL-6, which includes an audio bridge box designed to connect up to 6 microphones and the Autoswitch software for any Windows laptop (PC not included in kit).

How it Works

When a microphone detects audio (voice from a show host, city council member, etc.), a trigger is sent to the audio bridge that is connected to a laptop with intuitive audio detection software; which is connected to Datavideo’s SE-1200MU 6-input video switcher. When someone begins to speak into their microphone, it will automatically switch to the preset camera angle for that member. If no one speaks, the software will automatically trigger a wide camera angle preset shot.  What’s great about the ASK-1200 is any existing or 3rd party microphone will trigger the video switch, making for easy integration to existing workflows.

Camera Solutions

Even though the ASK-1200 will interface with any HD camera with HDSDI or HDMI outputs, Datavideo has affordable as well as unique solutions for camera installations. The 1 Camera KMU GoKit with the ASK-1200 for having 4 camera angles using 1 camera. This is ideal for those venues where having multiple cameras in the room is not possible or not desirable. 1 4K camera (BC-200) will allow you to take 4 separate shots (region of interest) when you use the KMU-100 video processor. 20x Optical Zoom

The BC-50 is 20X optical zoom 1080p, broadcast quality camera which could be used as a fixed or point of interest camera for each subject included in the workflow. Since the BC-50 is only $799, you can install up to 6 different cameras to achieve any angle you might need in a room or studio.
