Internal 4K movie recording with full pixel readout

The RX0 II lets you record 4K movies1 with full pixel readout and no pixel binning, using 1.7x oversampling to help produce stunningly clear images and action scenes. Despite the camera's compact size, it supports internal 4K 30p recording (QFHD: 3840 x 2160), making it ideal for shooting movies with high-image-quality when you're travelling or when you're capturing scenes from daily life.

Make great movies even better

New electronic image stabilization helps you capture great-looking movies, while the Movie Edit add-on for your smartphone achieves smooth images, similar to shooting with a gimbal. The Movie Edit add-on can also keep your subject in-frame automatically, even when you crop movies for smartphone portrait screens and social-media sharing.

Whether you're snorkeling in fresh water or seawater, shooting poolside or out in a thunderstorm - the RX0 II will expand your shooting potential. Super slow-motion movies from 960fps/1000fps shooting

Shooting at frame rates of up to 960fps/1000fps captures split-second action and allows you to produce super slow-motion movie scenes. You can even capture in full HD resolution at up to 120fps/100fps.

Interval recording for time-lapse movies

The camera's new interval recording feature enables continuous shooting with a set interval of between 1 and 60 seconds. These still images can then be edited into a time-lapse movie on a PC.

Expand your creative options

Tiltable LCD monitor perfect for selfies

The camera's LCD monitor tilts upward around 180°, making it easy to frame selfie shots and vlogging sessions. With its waterproof and dustproof design, you can even use it for underwater shots. The monitor also tilts downward, by around 90°, to help when you're shooting from a high angle.

Extended control with the optional shooting grip

The VCT-SGR1 Shooting Grip has integrated controls to let you trip the shutter release and operate the record button and the camera's zoom from the grip itself. The shooting grip can also be converted for use as a tabletop tripod.

External microphone for high-quality sound

In spite of its ultra-compact size, the RX0 II comes equipped with a microphone jack, so you can attach an external mic for better quality sound in your vlogs and movies.

Sony's Imaging Edge Mobile app lets you control multiple cameras from a smartphone or other mobile device. Wireless connectivity gives you greater flexibility in positioning your cameras, which are sturdy and small enough to go nearly anywhere.

Precise, accurate control to meet the needs of a professional workflow

With the optional Camera Control Box (CCB-WD1), you can simultaneously control multiple cameras, monitoring and changing settings remotely from a connected PC. This provides a stable connection to the cameras to facilitate accurate multi-camera synchronization, and it allows immediate file transfer from the cameras for easier file management.
