The Steadicam Steadimate-S offers camera operators increased freedom, endurance, and creative opportunity when working with single-handed motorized stabilizers like the DJI Ronin-S. By pairing a single-handed stabilizer with a bodyworn stabilizer, the DJI Ronin-S can be operated for hours with minimal physical fatigue while maintaining a wide range of vertical movement and adding full panning ability and “low-mode” operation.

Steadimate-S is also available in two weight class kits:

• The Steadimate-S 15 System with A-15 Arm & Scout Vest (6.8 kg / 15 lbs weight capacity)

• The Steadimate-S 30 System with A-30 Arm & Zephyr Vest (13.6 kg / 30 lbs weight capacity)

Users can minimize or completely eliminate the bouncing image effect that often occurs when using single-handled stabilizers as the Steadimate-S provides x-axis and y-axis stabilization while the Steadicam arm provides z-axis stabilization. The addition of the Steadimate-S easily and affordably transforms single-handed motorized gimbals into professional video stabilization systems.

The Steadimate-S comes standard with a post block and balance pin that fits arms with 1/2" posts. The weight capacity varies depending on the single-handed stabilizer, arm, and vest being used. The Steadimate-S adapter can be purchased on its own for use with existing arms and vests, or as a complete kit available in two weight classes.

Why put an arm and vest on a motorized gimbal?

Adapting your motorized gimbal with an arm and vest turns your motorized gimbal into a body-worn stabilizer, meaning the operating load is taken off the arms of the operator allowing for longer durations of stable handheld video shooting.

Increased stability in footage; the Steadimate-S gimbal adapter provides tilt axis stabilization, as well as z-axis stabilization from the Steadicam Arm. In a nutshell, the Steadimate-S Adapter easily transforms motorized gimbals into professional video stabilization camera rigs.

Compatibility

The Steadimate-S gimbal mount comes standard with a post block and balance pin that fit arms with 1⁄2” posts. Operators can purchase accessories that adapt the Steadimate-S to fit arms with 5/8” and 3⁄4” posts.

The weight capacity for the Steadimate depends on the weight capacity of the motorized gimbal, arm, & vest being used.
