This Teleprompter is lightweight and portable and is one-complete-assembly.  There is absolutely no assembly required. The PROIPEX is ready to use right out of the box. 

It works by scrolling text on the screen of your iPad or Tablet that is held firmly in a cradle below the mirror.  The mirror is tilted forward at a 45% angle so it can reflect the image of the scrolling text in a way that it is visible to the person looking into the camera. As you can see in the product images, the camera is not viable to the talent, only the scrolling text.  This is because the camera is hidden behind the mirror enclosure and is mounted firmly on the teleprompter chassis.  

The chassis system for the PROIPEX will adapt to most small to midsize cameras including DLSR's and prosumer camcorders.

The scrolling text is created by you and is loaded into an app that is installed on your device. There are many ways of loading the text into the app you are using and it varies depending on the app you choose.  There are several really cool teleprompter apps in the app stores, and Telmax actually provides a free app for the iPad / iPhone in the app store called OnCue Prompter.  

With many of the apps available you can control the scrolling text with a hand-held remote or by syncing your iPhone and iPad together and using one to control the other.  OnCue Promoter with allows you to do either. Telmax also provides a free handheld remote control with this teleprompter called the Oncue Handy Remote.  This remote allows you to control the OnCue Prompter app.
