PBE-LINK Battery Kit

The PBLT-BMPC is a Powerbase Edge Lite kit with a PTC-BMPC4 cable to power the Blackmagic Design Pocket 4K, 6K, and 6K Pro cameras. It also comes with a PB70C15US p-tap charger to charge the battery back up.

Versatility

The PowerBase Edge series are the Swiss Army Knives of battery packs. It can be used as a standard V-Mount pack, an under-camera mounted small-form cine pack, mounted under a handheld gimbal, as well as many other uses.

The pack is outfitted with a 7.4 V port for most mirrorles camera power demands, as well as two USBs 5V outputs and two 14V powertap outputs, covering nearly all video production powering applications.

Linking

The PowerBase Edge Link's linking feature allows you to connect packs together to parallel power. On the back of the V-Mount camera that means 2x packs can provide 140 Wh of power. The linking connections are discreetly placed under the battery pack's quick release plate to protect against inadvertent damage.

Extended Runtime

Compared to small form cine and mirrorless camera battery packs, the Powerbase Edge Link can provide up to 8x the power. Normal operational runtime on a Sony Alpha, BMD Pocket, RED Komodo or Panasonic GH camera can exceed several hours, perfect for an all day shoot.

Runtime LCD

• Backlit display shows nominal run-time (25W Load), percentage and grid when in standby.
• Backlit display shows remaining runtime, percentage and grid when under draw.
• Backlit display shows remaining charge time, percentage and grid when charging.

Quick Release Plate

The Edge Link is outfitted with an update dovetail style quick release plate for a more robust mounting solution. The quick release plate has a 1/4"-20 thread to attach under most cameras and a 1/4"-20 receptable on the opposing side to mount on a tripod. In addition, the 1/4"-20 quick release plate can be used to attach the pack to any part of a camera cage's side, top or anywhere with a 1/4"-20 thread.

USBC-PD

The Edge link is outfitted with a USB-C PD port capable of detecting the connected device to deliver the appropriate power to charge that device as fast as possible. This ensures fast charging without delivering too much power which could damage circuitry, meaning the same port can charge a mobile phone, tablet or a laptop.

USB Power

As with all CoreSWX batteries offerings, we have an integrated P-Tap connector on the side of the battery, allowing you to power any 12 VDC device from this port, which is a feature CoreSWX had since its first battery, 17 years ago. With their "ear to the ground," we also know how important mobile devices are to production and so we are one of the first companies to incorporate a USB port on the packs, providing accessible charging for your mobile devices.

Smart Tap

As with all coreSWX battery offerings, the Powerbase edge has an integrated P-Tap connector on the side of the battery, allowing you to power any 12 VDC device from this port, which is a feature CoreSWX had since its first battery 17 years ago. With that said, once again through extensive R & D, CoreSWX is now offering a "Smart Tap," a (powertap/dtap) which will pull all battery data.

Compatible Charging

The Powerbase Edge Link charges on all CoreSWX V-Mount battery chargers, as well as other manufacturers V-Mount chargers such as Sony, RED and IDX. In addition, the battery pack can be charged via the p-tap with PB70C15 charger.

Storage Mode

After 7 days of inactivity the pack shut downs to preserve power. To wake up simply put your pack to charge or press the reset button in between the terminals on the power tap.
