GP-VPT2BT is an ideal shoooting grip for general photography or vlogging. It offers wireless Bluetooth remote control, plus outstanding comfort and stability with a wide range of cameras.

Bluetooth wireless communication means that no connecting cables are required to transmit control signals from the grip to the camera. In addition to an overall grip design that keeps dust and moisture out, the absence of cables means that the camera’s connector covers can stay closed, for maximum system dust and moisture resistance.

Attached to a compact or mirrorless interchangeable lens camera, this shooting grip offers outstanding hold and positioning versatility for still and movie shooting. Quickly and easily position the camera for subject or selfie stills or movies. A tilt function makes it easy to set the ideal camera angle for a wide range of subjects and viewpoints.

Bluetooth wireless remote commander

With a compatible camera attached, remote controls for still and movie shooting can be operated while holding the grip normally, without having to touch the camera. Any function assigned to the camera’s C1 button can also be recalled via the remote grip C1 button.

Bluetooth wireless communication means that no connecting cables are required to transmit control signals from the grip to the camera. Simply aim and shoot with no cables to get in the way.

Anti-vibration construction

The vibration-suppressing design of the ECM-G1 helps reduce minor bumps and mechanical noise, such as when focusing or zooming. When connected via Multi Interface (MI) Shoe, the cable-free setup eliminates any possibility of cable-transmitted vibration noise.

The clever design needs no dangling cables, and remains clear of both viewfinder use, and your framed shot, even when using wide angles lenses—making it ideal for tight vlogging shots.

The unit is light in weight (1.2 oz (34 g)) and super-compact in size (2 in (48.5 mm)). This provides flexibility and mobility when you’re shooting—so much so that there’s no need to detach and reattach it between shoots. The back of the microphone won’t touch your forehead when you’re looking through the viewfinder, and setup is easy even with gimbals and grips.

Cable-free confidence

Connecting the microphone via a compatible MI Shoe means you don’t have to worry about noise being transmitted mechanically through cable connections or cables getting in the way of your shot, for greater portability when shooting.

Battery-free convenience

When you attach the ECM-G1 to the MI Shoe of any of Sony’s compatible cameras, power is supplied directly from the camera to the microphone. This lets you handle extended shooting sessions free of concerns about the microphone battery running out.

Connect to your smartphone

Connect the ECM-G1 to your Xperia® or other smartphone to produce vlogs with high-quality audio. The compact size makes it ideal for use with a smartphone.

Connect to your laptop or other device

A microphone out jack is provided on the side of the microphone. This can be used with cameras, PCs, IC recorders and other compatible devices that have plug-in power but do not have an MI Shoe. A recording cable is included.
