Vanguard’s Alta Pro series is back with a new generation of professional-quality video tripods. Alta Pro 3VL full-sized video tripods feature a nonremovable leveling base for ultimate control and flexibility. A selection of video pan heads gives you fluid motion and smooth panning and tilting, along with precise control with extended handles. Precision-engineered, CNC-machined parts mean that your Alta Pro tripod is built to last. Easy-twist leg locks let you quickly deploy your aluminum or carbon-fiber legs. Plus, retractable steel spikes in the feet let you adapt well on any terrain.

Alta Pro 3VL tripods are each CNC-machined with a built-in levelling base and an Arca-compatible video head -- a perfect combination that delivers incredible stability for videographers, heavy long lenses, or spotting scopes. The 4-section, 26mm diameter legs are designed to deliver an optimum combination of stability, portability, and height -- without a central column. The solid legs also incorporate silent twist leg locks that are designed to make deployment, packing, and cleaning easy. The legs feature retractable rubber feet that can be set as either rubber or stainless steel spikes in seconds. 

On top of the tripod, the VEO PV-14 Arca-compatible video head offers a smooth fluid movement with a single long handle that can be set up on either side of the head for left- or right-handed use. On the base of the video head is a pan-lock knob that allows you to rotate 360°, and on the side is a large tilt locking knob that allows you to set the vertical angles between -45° and +90°. To help control the vertical movement with your video camera on top, the control on the side of the head allows you adjust the tension, and therefore the speed of movement to your desired level, making it easier to move your video camera smoothly to the optimum position.
