• Ultra-wide angle and Zoom

  18mm wide angle of view makes it easy to capture attractive photogenic image with the entire scene – especially when shooting selfies at arm’s length. The 18-50mm optical zoom and the Clear Image Zoom smoothly enlarges images while minimizing loss of image quality to create variety in videos by changing the angle of view.
   

• 1.0 type Sensor with Bokeh Switch

  Gives beautiful bokeh by defocusing the background with a single touch. 
   

• Intelligent 3-Capsule Microphone

  In Auto mode, the camera recognizes human faces or objects and automatically switches the direction of the built-in microphone ([Front] or [All Directions]). In Manual mode, you can select [Front] for selfies, [Rear] when shooting with narration or [All Directions]. The supplied windscreen ensures a clear recording of the speaker when outdoors. Easy to use cableless attachment to Multi Interface Shoe  and a 3.5 mm microphone jack makes it easy to connect external microphones.

  This function responds to the demands to easily capture videos with a filmic look.  It enables impressive imagery at a touch. Simply tap the on-screen function icon and the camera will automatically set a CinemaScope size (2.35:1) vi and a frame rate of 24 fpsvii --the same as for a cinema movie. Then finish off the work with the on-screen buttons to select from five LOOKs and four MOODs.

The camera is equipped with AF Transition Speed to select the focusing speed during video recording, and AF Subject Shift Sensitivity to control whether the camera shifts focus from one subject to another. t. The ZV-1 II is perfect for on-the-go; its compact and lightweight design can be easily carried in a pocket or small bag, even with its optical wide zoom lens. The ZV-1 II supports different filming styles with the vari-angle screen suitable for selfies, easy to hold body grip (or with an optional GP-VPT2BT grip), user-friendly key and control layoutxi and the recording indicator on the front face of the body. The monitor display has been redesigned with a bold, clearly visible red frame that makes it obvious when recording is in progress. Power charge easily via a USB Type-C® connector. 

Creators can connect and share content easily with Sony’s Creators’ Cloud platform and easy smartphone connection. The Creators’ App can be used to control the ZV-1 II from a smartphone, monitor camera battery and media status, edit date and camera names, and easily transfer stills and videos shot, even in the background. The Creators’ Appxii also provides a convenient way to update camera software.    

For easy high-quality live streaming, simply connect the ZV-1 II to a PC or smartphone xiii with a commercially available USB cable (not included) to use it as a webcam. Make your video more attractive in online meetings and live streaming by using Creative Look to improve the skin’s appearance and adjust the hue. Faces will appear clearer and brighter (Face Priority AE) and the eyes will be kept in focus (Real-time Eye AF).

Environmentally Friendly and Accessible Design 

In addition to Sony’s commitment to a sustainable future with global initiatives like Road to Zero and the 2030 renewable energy goal, the ZV-1 II has been specifically developed with sustainability in mind. Recycled materials, including SORPLASTMxiv, are used for the camera body, reducing environmental impact without sacrificing functionality. Sony's unique recycled paper "Original Blend Material", which does not use plastic and is easy to recycle, is used for individual packaging. Using materials such as bamboo, sugar cane fiber, and recycled paper collected from the market, it is both environmentally friendly and high quality.

The ZV-1 II includes accessibility features that facilitate operation in several ways, including screen reader functionality for people with low vision or with visual impairments. Accessibility features allow anyone to enjoy shooting and playback. When the screen reader functionxv is activated, text on the menu screens is read aloud. The screen reader function can be activated by turning the [Screen Reader] function in the [Setup] tab ON. Screen reader volume can be adjusted via the [Sound Options] settings. In addition to the above, the ZV-1 II includes several functions that assist in achieving pinpoint focus on a variety of subjects. Additionally, the Real-time Eye AF can automatically recognize and focus on [Human] or [Animal], or the Real-time Tracking function. Focus Magnification, and Peaking functions make it easier to focus manually, and features like Touch Focus, Touch Tracking, and Touch Shutter let the user focus, track, and shoot simply by touching the subject on the monitor screen. Built-in mic for clear voice recording

With the ZV-1 II, capturing high quality audio is even easier. In [Auto] mode, the new built-in Intelligent 3-Capsule Mic switches the direction6 of the built-in mic from [All Directions] to [Front] when the camera recognizes a human face in the frame. Or you can switch manually from [Auto] to [Front] for selfies or [Rear] when shooting with narration. Attach a supplied windscreen to reduce wind noise and capture clearer audio outdoors.

The ZV-1 II automatically makes sure you always stay in focus with Touch Tracking. It recognizes human faces and eyes, so it keeps track of the main subject without wandering off. Just tap the subject on the screen to activate the feature. Eye AF can even be set to track animal faces and eyes.

Activate Real-time Tracking to follow a subject of your choice. The camera recognizes colours, brightness, and subject distance, as well as facial information to keep track of the subject so you can concentrate on grabbing the best angles. Just tap the subject on the screen to activate Touch Tracking for precise focus tracking.

The ZV-1 II is designed for easier content creation. Activate the Product Showcase Setting and the camera will automatically focus on the product you're holding with no additional gestures needed. Or use the Bokeh Switch to get a softly blurred background - simply select [Defocus] to make the subject stand out, or [Clear] to keep the entire image in focus.

Let the ZV-1 II work for you to capture great group moments. When taking selfies in iAUTO mode with two or three people, the camera automatically adjusts the setting to keep everyone's faces sharp and clear.

Always look your best

Look your best anytime you're shooting. Without any special settings, the ZV-1 II accurately captures your skin tone, ensuring a healthy and natural look. Face Priority AE automatically brightens your face so there's no need to worry about lighting either. There's also a Soft Skin Effect selectable to OFF/ Low/ Mid /High to adjust your skin smoothness.

Always know when you're recording

Say goodbye to accidentally missing the action. When you press the MOVIE button or tap the record icon on the LCD screen, the recording lamp glows red and a red frame appears on the screen, letting you know instantly that you're capturing what counts. The rotatable screen means you can also track recording while shooting from any angle

Shooting grip10 for easy vlogging

Vlogging is simpler and more comfortable with the optional GP­VPT2BT wireless shooting grip, which enables you to grab more stable shots and doubles as a tripod. The zoom lever and recording button are on the grip side, so you don't have to stretch around the camera every time to reach key control buttons.

Built-in ND filter

The ZEISS® Vario-Sonnar T* 18-50mm F1.8-4.0 zoom lens has a built-in neutral density (ND) filter to control light exposure by three stops, giving images greater expressiveness in bright light. The lens maintains sharpness throughout the zoom range, allowing you to capture all the shots you need to bring your vlog to life.

Raise your vlog audio quality even further by connecting external microphones. For example, the ECM-G1 clearly captures sound in front of the camera and can be attached without a cable. Or take your pick from Sony's extensive line-up16, designed to suit a broad range of applications.

The ZV-1 ll's compact body is equipped with a large 1.0-type Exmor RS™ CMOS image sensor developed by Sony. This backside illuminated stacked image sensor also includes a DRAM memory chip for ultra-fast data processing of the approximately 20.1 effective megapixels. It all adds up to supremely high-resolution and high-sensitivity imaging that far exceeds that of a typical smartphone.

With a goal of achieving a zero environmental footprint across the entire Sony Group by the year 2040, we are accelerating numerous initiatives to reduce our environment footprint from the packaging to materials used for the camera and supplied wind screen.

Non-plastic outer packaging

The outer packaging of the ZV-1 II does not contain plastic, but instead uses Sony's Original Blended Material, consisting of bamboo, sugar cane, and recycled paper. This unique blend not only produces high quality and durable packaging, but it is also recyclable for an even lower environmental impact.

Recyclable non-plastic packaging materials

Sony is working towards the use of non-plastic packaging materials, while still providing ample protection during shipping. We are also using plant-based non-woven fabrics for product bags. All of this helps to minimize our environmental impact.

Using recycled plastic

SORPLAS™ is a Sony-developed durable and repeatedly recycled material. We use it in conjunction with other recycled materials to manufacture camera bodies without compromising performance and functionality. Approximately 379 tons of virgin plastic have been replaced by recycled plastics in our digital cameras and digital video cameras over the past ten years.

Wind screen using recycled polyester

The fibers used in the windscreen provided with the ZV-1 II are made exclusively from recycled PET bottles. Extensive testing was carried out to ensure that sound quality and wind noise reduction performance were fully up to our standards, achieving environmental impact reduction without compromising functionality.

Enhanced accessibility with screen reader

The screen reader function enables text on menu screens to be read aloud. It's easy to activate by navigating to the [Setup] tab and turning the [Screen Reader] function ON. Screen reader volume can be adjusted via the [Sound Options] settings.
