Nanlite is reinventing the softbox with a new Rapid series that can be set up in seconds and folds flat when collapsed. The Rapid 90 (SB-RP90) parabolic softbox features an integrated design with a rapid-latch speed ring and excellent structural rigidity.

Super Quick to Set up and Pack Down

With a single pull-and-press movement, it opens and locks the dome’s ribs and fabric firmly into place. All that remains to be done is to attach the front diffusion fabric using hook and loop fasteners and connect the softbox onto the lamp head using the Bowens mount. Collapsing a Rapid series parabolic softbox is even quicker: just hold the handle and
pull the trigger and it will fold in just one second. When packed, the Rapid 90 parabolic softbox can be folded flat to save space. The quick and simple setup and breakdown makes the Rapid 90 ideal for fast-paced production, news, documentaries and for anyone who just wants to make things simpler. Universal Bowens Mount

The Rapid 90 parabolic softbox are equipped with a Bowens mount, making them compatible with Nanlite Forza, FC and FS series fixtures, and also with other Bowens mount light fixtures in the market.

Controlled Diffusion

A standard diffuser and a lite diffuser are included, offering flexible options to control the shape and look of the light. The diffusers are made of high-density material, providing a beautifully even diffusing effect. The diffusion fabric is made from durable and wear-resistant nylon which is designed to withstand the rigors of on-set use. The interior of each Rapid 90 softbox features reflective fabric that intensifies the light, effectively reducing light loss and minimizing color shift. An eggcrate is included that can further control the direction and spread of the light, making it ideal for lighting the subject with minimal spill onto other areas.

Built to Last

Attention has been paid to the physical build of each Rapid series softbox. They aim to provide a high level of structural rigidity and stability, while eliminating the hassle of having multiple components that slow down setup. The softbox evenly distributes pressure when subjected to external forces thanks to the support of 16 reliable high- carbon steel ribs. These reduce the risk of deformation and make each softbox more wind-resistant when outdoors.
